Joint Commission provides credit for building maintenance programs, but does not specify minimum testing requirements. This presentation will include the applicable codes and standards, inspection, testing and maintenance requirements, documentation requirements and recent code changes. It will also provide methods to evaluate the effectiveness of your programs. Projects will include fire protection systems covered to include fire hydrants, fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers, dampers, exit signs, battery pack emergency lighting, doors, and hardware and fire/smoke barriers.

Webinar Objectives:

• Know what applicable codes and standards apply to fire and life safety features
• Understand the requirements and methods for the inspection, testing and maintenance of fire and life safety features
• Be able to prepare and provide required documentation for your fire and life safety feature testing

Target Audience:  Hospital facility managers, safety managers, maintenance personnel, and inspection/testing personnel.
